What is a quilt?
It is a fabric sandwich: fabric on top, a batting filler and fabric on back that is joined together with quilting stitches and bound around the edges.

What is a Sampler Quilt?
When the top layer of fabric is a collection of different block designs placed together in a planned or random set.
